A One-Day Shoot Turned Into a Chicago Adventure – Behind the Scenes with Parish Mandhan Productions

Sometimes, creative work takes us to unexpected places and sometimes, it keeps us there a little longer than planned. Recently, Parish Mandhan Productions partnered with ATM Media to film an exclusive interview with Laura Desmond, CEO of Smartly, in the vibrant city of Chicago.

The Assignment – A High-Profile Interview

The project was a one-hour, high-end corporate shoot designed to capture Laura Desmond’s insights with cinematic quality. Parish was scheduled to fly in, shoot, and return to New York, all within the same day.

The interview was executed flawlessly, with a focus on sharp visuals, professional lighting, and clear storytelling, hallmarks of Parish Mandhan Productions’ approach to corporate media.

An Unexpected Twist – Canceled Flights & Unplanned Adventures

After wrapping up the shoot successfully, Parish headed to the airport, only to find his return flight canceled due to severe weather conditions.

Instead of letting the setback dampen the experience, Parish decided to make the most of his unexpected stay in Chicago. He booked a night in Downtown Chicago and set out to explore the city for the first time.

Discovering Chicago – A Photographer’s Perspective

One of the highlights of his impromptu adventure? The Chicago Riverwalk.

From its stunning skyline reflections to the vibrant urban energy, the Riverwalk provided Parish with a fresh creative perspective and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of unexpected moments.

What This Experience Taught Us

At Parish Mandhan Productions, we believe that creativity extends beyond the camera, it’s about embracing the journey, finding inspiration in every moment, and telling stories that resonate.
